She could use an extra set of hands directing the children, distributing crafts and giving instructions. This role is great for a volunteer who enjoys helping preschool children.

The library can always use assistance with organizing books to be shelved. This includes sorting books on the return carts as well. You will be trained and given clear instruction on the process so books don’t end up in the wrong place. If you are a detailed person who takes pride in doing a job right, you can truly help the library in this capacity.

Book sales help:
The Friends of the University Park Public Library sells donated, gently-used books and gives all profits to the library. Sales take place in a pop-up store front (usually in Snider Plaza), at the Peek Center on Worcola, or at the library itself. If you like to visit with other booklovers and help organize books to be sold, you’d be a great addition to this team.
